Saved!

Acts 15:11 NLT: “We believe that we are all saved the same way, by the undeserved grace of the Lord Jesus.”

At the time, a significant number of converted Gentiles were worshiping with Jews. So the question arose as to their differences. It’s an important discussion since most of us were not born or raised Jewish.

Simon-Peter, God’s point person for the Jesus followers, reports on behalf of the apostles and elders. Turns out we’re all saved the same way, by the undeserved favor of Jesus. Our hope rests not in any religious observance or ceremony. Our hope is through the work Jesus did on the cross, a free gift to us that we cannot earn, buy or pay for.

The Latin phrase “Solus Christus” or “in Christo solo” says it all. Only Christ can redeem, and faith in Christ is what we need for an eternity in paradise!

We are saved by grace through faith!
