Kingdom!

Mark 1:15 NLT: “The time promised by God has come at last!” Jesus announced. “The Kingdom of God is near! Repent of your sins and believe the Good News!”

Jesus was a preacher who occasionally did miracles, not a miracle worker who sometimes preached. His message was consistent with the rest of the Bible: “Repent, for the Kingdom of God is at hand!”

Most people wanted a political kingdom that would get the Romans off their backs. But Jesus introduced a Kingdom of love, grace and humility – not what they expected. His Kingdom was voluntary; a positive choice had to be made. And Jesus’ Kingdom is for all mankind, not just the Jews – so everyone can know hope!

Jesus is evidence that the Kingdom of God walked among us!
