John 1:17 NLT: “The law was given through Moses, but God’s unfailing love and faithfulness came through Jesus Christ.”
As I understand the Bible, Christianity should have simply been a continuation of Judaism, not an entirely separate religion. But nowadays they are separate, with completely different purposes.
Judaism teaches us rules and laws, God’s value system – God’s standards, if you will.
Christianity exemplifies God’s everlasting lovingkindness. In spite of mankind’s shortcomings, God sent his Son Jesus on a mission of rescue and redemption. God’s desire is that no one would perish! That’s how much he loves us!
Through His Son, God sent hope to the world!
