Primary Mission!

Matthew 20:28 GW: “It’s the same way with the Son of Man (Jesus.) He didn’t come so that others could serve him. He came to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many people.”

Nowadays some Christians go on Mission Trips. Jesus’ journey to earth was just such an excursion. Ask yourself, out of all the good and interesting accounts we can read about Jesus, what was his primary mission? What was his main thing?

I believe Jesus was on a rescue mission, to save the eternal souls of mankind, and that includes you and me, and that gives us hope! God’s desire is that none would perish, and Jesus was here to make that happen. It’s challenging given that mankind has the freedom to go along with Jesus, or not. But to all who believed, he gave the power to become children of God, members of the Holy Family in the Eternal Kingdom, and that’s Good News!
