God's Timing

2 Peter 3:15a NIRV: “Remember that while our Lord is waiting patiently to return, people are being saved.”

Before Jesus ascended back into heaven, he commissioned his followers to go and make disciples of all nations. The longer he waits to return, the more time we will have had to accomplish this task. The long-suffering of the Lord results in salvation for many.

I’ve written before that God’s desire is that all would repent and return, that none would be lost. Believers, whose hearts are really set on the glory of the new heaven and new earth can convey the peace of the Lord to the world. The world needs to hear the Good News of salvation through Jesus!

Jesus WILL return, but not too soon!
