1 Peter 3:15 NET: “Set Christ apart as Lord in your hearts and always be ready to give an answer to anyone who asks about the hope you possess.”
At the very center of life there is to be one Lord, and that is Jesus. Our own selfish desires, the opinion of others, worldly wisdom, the pressure of circumstances - these and many other things compete for our attention. But at the end of the day, Jesus is still the Christ, the one sent from above. He alone should have center-stage in our lives.
As believers, we have “Assurance of Salvation,” guaranteed hope for the future, which may seem strange to unbelievers. But those who question us, even mock us, may actually be seekers, and each of us should be prepared to explain and defend the hope with which we have been blessed.
Life is always better with Jesus at the center!
