Eyewitness Truth!

May 6, 2024 Monday Message:

1 John 1:2 NLT: “This one who is life itself was revealed to us, and we have seen him. And now we testify and proclaim to you that he is the one who is eternal life. He was with the Father, and then he was revealed to us.”

It might not seem possible, but many people either didn’t know or weren’t sure who Jesus was. I don’t mean “Jesus of Nazareth” or “Jesus son of Joseph.” “Jesus Son of the Living God” is what we all need to understand. The author was either an eyewitness, or the message was passed on to him directly by an eyewitness. Miracles, healing, teaching and prophesy prove that Jesus was heaven-sent! By studying these things, the true identity of Jesus was revealed to those seeking the truth.

Armed with the truth, believers shared the Good News, telling others about the gift of eternal life made possible through the work of Jesus. Following the crucifixion, Jesus took the sins of the world to the place of the dead, leaving mankind clean and innocent, suitable to spend eternity with the Father. We were given a re-boot, a second chance! It is a free gift from above, nothing we could earn or deserve.

Jesus made the round trip! He was with the Father, came to earth on a mission trip, and when that mission was complete he returned to God the Father. It was all done for the rescue of mankind, and we needed rescuing! God’s desire is that none would perish!

Let’s all believe the testimony of the eyewitnesses, those who were present during the itinerant ministry of Jesus. He claimed that the Son of Man had no home. Yet he was always right where he needed to be!
