For Wednesday, November 1, 2023:
Romans 14:17-18 NLT: “For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. If you serve Christ with this attitude, you will please God, and others will approve of you, too.”
Today is All Saints’ Day. We honor those in Christ who have gone before us.
By dying and then rising from the dead, Jesus re-wrote the rules. He gave us the “New Covenant.” He simplified the commandments saying, “Love God and love your neighbor.” We see heaven not by keeping commandments, but by our faith in Jesus. Following Jesus and being filled with the Holy Spirit, we should live a life of goodness, peace and joy! It’s a good way of living that will please God, your fellows and you!
