Romans 3:6 NLT: “If God were not entirely fair, how would he be qualified to judge the world?”
God is fair, honest and just and does not make mistakes. His standards are the highest, and on our own we cannot meet them.
That’s why we need Jesus. Every one of us has done something wrong in our lifetime. “All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” God grades on a pass/fail system. Get everything right, you can enter heaven. Miss one, you’re rejected.
Of course God’s desire is that no one would be lost. So Jesus came to take the sin of the world upon himself, leaving believers acceptable for a heavenly berth. Without Jesus, none of us would get there. Every year we celebrate the arrival of the one who would rescue us! Merry Christmas!
