House in Heaven!

2 Cor. 5:1 NLT: “We know that when this earthly tent we live in is taken down (that is, when we die and leave this earthly body), we will have a house in heaven, an eternal body made for us by God himself and not by human hands.”

How cool would it be if your soul could reside in an eternal body made by God himself? On earth we age and we get tired. We do our best to survive all manner of difficulties. But when believers move on to the next reality, it’s like a restart, a do-over. The Bible assures us that in heaven, things will never have been better! The words of the Bible fill us with hope – a LOT of hope!

In heaven there is no pain, no suffering, no disease – and I dare say, no anger, quarrels or fighting. The only anger will be God’s displeasure with Satan, but that’s above my pay grade, and frankly it will come to an end soon. God is God and Satan is a created being, so the outcome should be obvious. We can read our Bibles to the end and clearly see who wins.

The worst day in heaven will be better than the best day on earth!
