Psalm 119:68 NIV: “Lord, you are good, and what you do is good; teach me your decrees.”
It’s important that we understand God is good and wants only what’s best for us. As Christians, we try to “fit in” with God and the rest of his Kingdom. We might never achieve perfection, but day-by-day we make progress toward that goal.
Most of us understand big, key theological points – we ‘get’ the 10 Commandments. But the little things also matter to God, like how we treat one another, how we forgive one another, how we love our fellows. Prayer is important, as is caring for those less fortunate. When a brother or sister is down, we should extend a hand and lift them up. They should do the same for us if the situation was reversed. Get in step with the Lord!
Turns out God is in the details!
