Ephesians 2:4-5 NLT: “God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!)”
Life and death can be confusing. Scientists are still at a loss to explain what truly causes life, but the Bible is clear that God gives life to all things. He’s the Creator! He places our soul, our eternal essence, into a human body to live on the earth. When that body is no longer needed, it will die, but your soul moves to the next dimension. Paul wrote, “Absent from the body, present with the Lord.”
I heard a Rabbi explain that when we die, things that can die, die; but some things cannot die and continue to live on. That would be your soul. So the question really isn’t, “Will I live forever?” It should be, “Where will I be spending my time?”
God’s desire is that none would perish. So his gift to us is that his Son paid the price for our sins, and believers have a reservation in God’s eternity.
Don’t be so concerned with life. Focus more on Eternal Life!
