New Covenant!

John 1:17 NLT: “The law was given through Moses, but God’s unfailing love and faithfulness came through Jesus Christ.”

John the Baptist prophesied this shift in philosophy, and Jesus is the fulfillment of it. Remember that Moses, for all the good he did, was still just a man. We can forgive each other, but mankind can’t forgive eternal sins like God can. God’s faithfulness, his steadfastness, his love and forgiveness came to earth through the Son. That’s why we put our faith, hope and trust in Jesus!

Jesus introduces of a New Covenant, a new contract between God the Creator and mankind. The Old Covenant was about laws and enforcement. The New Covenant is about love, forgiveness and reconciliation.

That’s why I’m sticking with Jesus!
