Revelation 21:1a NLT: “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the old heaven and the old earth had disappeared.”
Some people bemoan the condition of the world or the state of our country. They’re right – it’s a mess! But ever so quickly, at just the right time, God will speak restoration and create a New Heaven and a New Earth with no more death, sorrow, crying or pain. Perfect. God says that believers will inherit these blessings in the next life, and, “I will be their God, and they will be my children,” and that gives us a lot of hope!
God will live among his people in this Eden-like paradise. Our perfectly restored resurrection bodies will have unhindered fellowship with God. Jesus said that he would go first to prepare a place for us, and that place is the New Earth. (That sounds way better than the lake of burning sulfur!)
If it were not so, Jesus would have told us!
