For Wednesday, October 12, 2022:
Colossians 2:8 NLT: “See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ.”
There are many false religions in the world. Some are centuries old, while others have been conjured up only recently. The Bible says that mankind was made to worship. If people don’t know the true God, typically they’ll find something else to worship. Satan and his helpers offer many choices to divert us from our Creator God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
The true path to salvation always includes Jesus, the one who took the sin of the world to the place of the dead. We all need to accept his free gift of forgiveness, placing our faith in the one who rose from the dead! With our sins forgiven, we are assured a place in God’s eternal kingdom, what we call heaven!
Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me!”
