For Wednesday, July 20, 2022:
Titus 2:12b-13 NLT: “We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God, while we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed.”
Paul wrote to Titus to teach and encourage him in his mission to Crete. It’s not all that different nowadays. There’s a lot of evil in this world, and believers should live above it with wisdom, righteousness and devotion to the Lord. Believers are like an island of sanity in a world of insanity. Jesus has given us hope, and we can offer that hope to others!
Our hope rests in Jesus’ promise of salvation, that we’ll be delivered from the world’s evil. He has prepared a special place for believers in the life after this life, a place where evil cannot exist. Believers will be lifted up to live where God lives!
Keep your eyes on the prize!
