Salvation!

Psalm 119:81 HCSB: “I long for Your salvation; I put my hope in Your word.”

God answers prayers three different ways – “Yes,” “No,” and, “Not just yet!” God is mainly concerned with things of substance, things that make an eternal difference. We are all part of God’s plan, he desires only ‘good’ for us, and in God’s time it will all play out.

The psalmist writes, “I long for your salvation.” That’s an eternal-type request. At that time, people were waiting for the promised Messiah to rescue their soul. And in his timimg, God sent his Son Jesus so that forgiven believers could spend eternity in the presence of the Father.

Everything will be all right in the end!
