The "Promise!"

For Sunday, August 6, 2023:

Romans 4:16 NLT: “So the promise is received by faith. It is given as a free gift. And we are all certain to receive it, whether or not we live according to the law of Moses, if we have faith like Abraham’s. For Abraham is the father of all who believe.”

The “promise” is life after this life in God’s presence. It’s a free gift given to those who believe in the Son. Accept the free gift. Those striving to obey the Law have never seen success. Paul is counseling the Romans to have faith like Abraham’s. It’s a good summary of “how to become a Christian.”

With a Bible in your hand, Jesus in your heart and praise on your lips, you’ll be OK.

Faith matters! Believing matters! Jesus is the answer!
