Reconciled!

For Thursday, August 10, 2023:

Romans 5:1 NLT: “Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us.”

Before Jesus, mankind was largely at odds with God. People would sin, and sin and God don’t mix. Sin is disrespecting God, putting our personal desires ahead of God’s instructions.

Jesus was the turning point in mankind’s relationship with the Lord. Jesus’ job description was to take the sin of the world to the place of the dead and leave it there. Now mankind – without the sin problem – could enjoy a relationship with the Father. There’s a place for believers in God’s Kingdom because of the work Jesus did.

Jesus mended mankind’s relationship with our Father in Heaven! Thank you, Jesus!
