Promises!

August 7, 2023 Monday Message:

Romans 4:20-21 NLT: “Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God. He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever he promises.”

Abraham (formerly Abram) was the Lord’s target to make himself known on earth. Abraham is considered the father of Judaism, Islam and Christianity. God promised him descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky, and here we are today, all believing what Abraham believed! Abraham believed God’s promise even though he and Sarai were childless at the time. He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever he promises. That’s called “faith!”

Nowadays our faith is in Jesus, who said he would take away the sins of the world. Jesus promised he would go and prepare a place for believers, a heavenly place in God’s Kingdom. Are we fully convinced that Jesus is able to do whatever he promises?

That’s called faith! That’s what saves us!
