For Wednesday, June 21, 2023:
Habakkuk 2:4 NLT, God giving words to his prophet: “Look at the proud! They trust in themselves, and their lives are crooked. But the righteous will live by their faithfulness to God.”
When Jesus told us that the first would be last and the last would be first, he was confirming what the Father had already told the prophet. Living your life to be judged by the world and living your life to be judged by the Holy Trinity are as different as night and day.
The “righteous will live,” is speaking about living in God’s Kingdom, promising the righteous believer life after this life. We receive the gift of eternity in the presence of the Lord because of our faith in the Son.
When the end times come, the righteous will live!
