Creator!

December 5, 2022 Monday Message:

Isaiah 44:24 NLT: “This is what the Lord says—your Redeemer and Creator:

‘I am the Lord, who made all things. I alone stretched out the heavens. Who was with me when I made the earth?’”

God is asking a rhetorical question. Mankind wasn’t created until day 6. By then, the earth already existed. So no human was with God when he made the earth. It’s all the work of Father, Son and Holy Spirt!

As we live on God’s earth day-to-day, it’s easy to no longer be impressed with its creation, but we should be. Common sense should persuade us to be awed by the earth and everything God designed to be on it. Let’s use photosynthesis as just one example. Plants take in carbon dioxide and water, and combine those two things to make sugars for their growth, and oxygen. Mankind needs that oxygen to survive, but we’re the ones who give off CO2 which the plants need! Who could think up such a scheme? Only God!

As we move through Advent and the Christmas seasons, take a moment to appreciate where we live. Thank God for including us in his creation. And thank God for sending his Son Jesus to redeem mankind. God is watching out for us. God is good!
