Born anew!

December 19, 2022 Monday Message:

John 1:12-13 NLT: “To all who believed him (Jesus) and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God.

God, your Creator, desires a relationship with you, and he doesn’t want to take ‘no’ for an answer. To that end, God sent a part of himself, his Son Jesus, to be the sacrifice for the sins of the world. All who confessed their sin and believed in who Jesus was and that he could do what he said he could do are adopted into the Holy Family. It’s as if believers are re-born in a new, different, better way. This is where we get the term, “Born-again Christian.”

Christmas is coming next Sunday, the day we celebrate Jesus’ arrival on earth. As part of the celebration, we put up decorations and give each other presents. But in all the hustle and bustle, let us not forget the main reason the celebration exists. It’s all for Jesus, who lived a sinless life and forgave our sins, making it possible for believers to see heaven from the inside.

Jesus went ahead to prepare your special place in the hereafter. As children, we sang, “Jesus loves me.” Truer words were never spoken!

Merry Christmas!
