Honor for the Humble!

James 4:10 NLT: “Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor.”

The humble will be lifted up by the Lord. Look at how ridiculous the opposite sounds: “With belligerence and arrogance I demanded a favor from God!” That would NEVER work! Duh!

The Bible says that the first will be last and the last will be first in the Kingdom. Those who are kind and helpful - those who serve others on earth will be honored in heaven. Oftentimes our greatest reward is in the next reality!

We don’t know God’s entire Vast Eternal Plan, but this verse gives us a glimpse into it. God stands for what is good and right and fair and honest, and He wants to include the believers on His team! And knowing we are included brings us hope eternal!
