1 Thessalonians 2:4 NLT: “We speak as messengers approved by God to be entrusted with the Good News. Our purpose is to please God, not people. He alone examines the motives of our hearts.”
Before Jesus ascended into heaven, he commissioned the believers to carry the Good News to all nations. Therefore when you tell a friend about Jesus, you’re a messenger approved by God, entrusted with the best news ever! We are to share our hope with others!
Sometimes this goes well, sometimes it doesn’t, but our goal is to please God, not mankind. God not only hears your words and sees your actions, but God knows your heart. He can spot ‘loving your neighbor’ from a long ways away, and that’s what Jesus said to do!
