For Tuesday, November 10, 2020
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 NLT: “Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.”
Paul’s advice to the church of Thessalonica is still good advice for us nowadays. If we always remember that Jesus has prepared a place for us in eternity, we can and should be perpetually joyful! Troubles of this life pale in comparison to the heavenly prize!
Don’t give up on prayer. God answers prayer: “Yes,” “No,” or “Not just yet!” God has his vast eternal plan, and we don’t know all those details. Tomorrow may be the perfect day to fulfill your request, so keep praying.
In the month of November, we celebrate Thanksgiving. But Thanksgiving shouldn’t be limited to a single day. God drops goodness into our lives every day; therefore we should be thankful every day!
Pray for blessings, joy, thankfulness and safety today!
