Ephesians 2:13 NLT: “Now you have been united with Christ Jesus. Once you were far away from God, but now you have been brought near to him through the blood of Christ.”
Paul was writing to the church in Ephesus based on his Hebrew upbringing. People who sinned were said to be “far from God,” and the solution was to “repent and return,” to come “closer to God.”
The Good News is that believers have been adopted into the Holy Family, included as brothers and sisters with Jesus. God never reneges on his promises; therefore we have assurance of salvation, and that gives us hope to the max!
As we enter the next reality, Jesus will be there to welcome us with open arms!!
