Salvation!

For Sunday, October 11, 2020 

Acts 4:12 NLT, Peter speaking about Jesus: “There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.”

Peter didn’t merely proclaim Jesus as a way to salvation, but as the ONLY way of salvation. The idea that there is no salvation in any other – no other pathway to eternity – is hard for many to accept, but it is clearly stated here. 

Before ascending into heaven, Jesus asked his followers to share the Good News with everyone – “all nations.” In this case, 2 of the Apostles were preaching the Good News to many false teachers. Jesus isn’t just for those who cannot save themselves, because none of us can save ourselves. If you’re going to be made right with God, Jesus is the one who can do it, and that gives us hope!

Jesus said, “No one comes to the Father except through me.”
