Ephesians 2:8 CJB: “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God.”
God has a gift for you! And that’s cause for a celebration! Grace (of God) is unmerited divine assistance given to mankind, in this case to assure our presence with God in eternity.
We receive that gift because of our faith, first believing that God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit – is the creator of all things, and believing that God can do what he says he can do. In this case, God says he will rescue us from our sin-problem. Do you believe he can do that?
The Bible says that God will sanctify us, make us holy, so that we can live with God in eternity. You can’t earn it – it’s a free gift, but we need to be willing to accept what is given to us.
So friends, believe in God and his Son and prepare to receive a gift from above! Don’t forget to say, “Thanks!”
