Hope in Jesus!

For Saturday, August 15, 2020.

1 Thessalonians 1:3 NLT: “As we pray to our God and Father about you, we think of your faithful work, your loving deeds, and the enduring hope you have because of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

There you have it – faith, love and hope, the three great Christian virtues. Paul, Silas and Timothy were praying for the Fellowship in Thessalonica; we should likewise be praying for each other, pointing to the hope believers have because of Jesus. There are remarkable similarities.

There were problems in Thessalonica; there are problems in our country nowadays. The world health crisis and civil unrest have left us seeking solutions, and Paul writes that we have lasting hope because of Jesus, who he is and what he did for us. Faith in that hope leads to patience, which is the long-term endurance needed to not only survive hard times, but to emerge from them victorious!

Whatever the problem, adding Jesus can only make things better!

Blessings & safety to all today!
