For Wednesday, August 12, 2020.
Luke 4:40 CEV: “After the sun had set, people with all kinds of diseases were brought to Jesus. He put his hands on each one of them and healed them.”
Jesus, being the Son of God, had never-ending supernatural power. That night, he was in restoration mode, putting people back to the way God had originally designed them. If someone was crippled, blind or had cancer, no job was too big for Jesus. He healed them ALL!
The other thing to notice here is the compassionate nature of Jesus. (Remember Jesus said, “I and the Father are one,” so this is God’s character too!) Jesus was WILLING to heal. He took as much time as was needed to heal them ALL. EVERYONE would be better off because Jesus was there that night!
So if you see a situation that needs healing – you, your family, your friends, your city, your nation – Jesus is still listening. Call on him. Pray to God in Jesus’ name.
The song says, “Jesus loves me,” and that’s the character of God!
