For Tuesday, April 4, 2023:
Matthew 21:14 NLT: “The blind and the lame came to Jesus in the Temple, and he healed them.”
Jesus’ healings were well known. The blind, the lame, and those with any other afflictions came or were brought to Jesus. The healings had become so commonplace that we aren’t given any detail; simply that those who needed healing were healed, which begs the question, where did Jesus get this power to heal?
Jesus is now healing people and teaching in the Temple, in full view of the Temple leaders and priests. They thought Jesus’ power might be from the dark side. They were wrong. We know Jesus as the Son of the Living God, heaven-sent, to help mankind with our sin problem and to reconcile our eternal destiny in the Father’s house!
Who do you say that Jesus is, and from where did his powers originate? We all need to settle these questions in our own minds. Believing in Jesus is a part of our being saved!
In a way, we’re all being healed!
