Eternal Home!

For Tuesday, November 15, 2022:

Revelation 21:27 NLT: “Nothing evil will be allowed to enter, nor anyone who practices shameful idolatry and dishonesty—but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.”

John was shown this in his Revelation vision concerning the New Earth, our perfect eternal home. With the Lord as my shepherd I shall not want, in this life or in the next. God-our-provider doesn’t stop working when we end our earthly lives. He restores the earth to its original design, with no sin or evil. It’s a gift to us from our Lord, but also for God himself. He wants to live among his people, and this will be the perfect place!

Is your name written in Jesus’ Book of Life? That happens when we confess our sins, turn from evil and claim Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Salvation is by grace, undeserved favor, a gift from God Almighty, because of our faith in his Son, the Lamb of God. In the book of life, in the column titled “sin” will be blank; just white space. That’s what Jesus did for us!

One day in the Lord’s house is better than thousands elsewhere!
