Mark 1:38 NLT Jesus, to Simon and the others: “We must go on to other towns as well, and I will preach to them, too. That is why I came.”
Jesus came bearing Good News: “The Kingdom of God is at hand.”
In fact, Jesus IS the Good News. Jesus IS the Kingdom of God walking among us. Jesus represents forgiveness of sin and the pathway to mankind seeing heaven from the inside!
In a worship service, our first purpose it to lift up the Lord, to honor God. We also teach, so that each week believers can leave with a little more knowledge of God and the Bible than when they arrived. And part of our purpose is to welcome newcomers, seekers. A church service isn’t complete without an explanation of why we believe, how to become a believer, and an opportunity to ask Jesus into your heart. We are a dispensary of eternal hope!
Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Share the Good News!
