Romans 1:22 TLB: “Claiming themselves to be wise without God, they became utter fools instead.”
Rejection of God never makes people smarter or better. Their thoughts are worthless, their foolish hearts darkened. In a word, those who reject God are destined to become known as fools.
If a person dismisses the truth of God in Jesus, they're set up to fall for anything foolish. People renouncing God often conjure up belief systems far more complex than just acknowledging the truth of the Lord.
The Good News is that believers are NOT fools! God will walk with you in this life and the next. God wants to include you in his Kingdom. Jesus wants you on his team! Believers, the wise ones, have hope!
