May 9, 2022 Monday Message:
Romans 8:1 NLT: “Now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.”
From the cross, Jesus took the sins of the world to the place of the dead, and stated about his mission, “It is finished.” Believers are the beneficiaries of that sacrifice. Jesus replaced the Old Covenant, the law, with the New Covenant, a free gift for all who would profess faith in the Son of God, Jesus the Christ!
Jesus is known for speaking the truth and for accurate prophesies, so we should also expect his New Covenant to be complete truthfulness. Paul is sharing that truth with the believers in Rome, that those who belong to Jesus have been rescued from any condemnation. Jesus rendered true believers suitable for eternal residence in the presence of God the Father! He’s giving free tickets to Heaven to all who believe and have faith!
The power of Jesus frees us from the power of sin!
