Redeemed!

For Thursday, June 9, 2022:

Romans 1:17 NLT: “The Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.”

The Gospel, or Good News, teaches that we are saved by grace, a free gift from above, through faith, our belief in who Jesus is, and confidence that he could do what he said he would do.

Sin is what separates us from God. Jesus said that when he died on the cross, he took the sins of the world to the place of the dead – your sins and my sins, past, present and future sins – ALL sin. Do you believe?

Mankind needs redeeming, and Jesus is that redeemer. We are not just forgiven through his work on the cross. Our sins are blotted out, removed, as if we had never sinned!

Jesus’ work made believers suitable to spend eternity in the Lord’s presence!
