Be kind!

For Saturday, January 23, 2021

Ephesians 4:32 NLT: “Be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.”

Paul's counsel to the Ephesians follows the words of Jesus. He taught us to pray, “Father, forgive us, as we forgive others.” In this case, God went first. God has forgiven us, granted us eternal life, and that is to serve as our model for how we live our lives.

Jesus condensed all the commandments in the scriptures down to two: “Love God, and love your neighbor.” Be nice. Figure out what you can do that would be helpful. In return, God, through his Son Jesus, has granted us 'Assurance of Salvation,' a place in eternity with our name on it, and that gives us hope!

When a situation arises, ask yourself, “What would Jesus do?”

Blessings and safety to all today!
