Faith!

July 10, 2023 Monday Message:

Romans 1:17 NLT: “This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, ‘It is through faith that a righteous person has life.’”

Jesus took the sins of the world to the place of the dead, leaving mankind eligible to spend eternity in the presence of the Lord. And now that we’re eligible, how do we sign up? Faith!

Paul is quoting Habakkuk 2:4: “The righteous will live by faith.” The “living” is speaking of forever, eternal heavenly life. It is a free gift we receive because of our faith in who Jesus is, and confidence that he can do for us what he promised.

The details are all in the Gospel, the Good News. There was a misconception perpetuated by the Pharisees that God was in the vengeance business. Turns out they were wrong! God’s in the business of love and forgiveness, and believers are the beneficiaries of God’s love for his creations. After all, we’re made in his image!

Faith assures believers of seeing heaven from the inside!
