Matthew 6:33 NIV: “Seek first God’s kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
“Seeking” is reciprocal. God is constantly seeking contact with mankind. He’s already doing his part. So the question becomes, “Are we seeking the Lord?”
Seriously, the most important thing we can do in this lifetime is to establish a relationship with God. If that’s first, the rest of our lives tends to fall into place. In the Bible, people are asking, “What will we eat, what will we drink, what will we wear?” Today’s scripture is the answer, and that gives us hope!
The Message explains it like this: “People who don’t know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works. Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don’t worry about missing out. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.”
Blessings and safety to all!
