Romans 8:21 Phillips: “The hope is that in the end the whole of created life will be rescued from the tyranny of change and decay, and have its share in that magnificent liberty which can only belong to the children of God!”
In the crucifixion and the resurrection, Jesus proved that he holds all power over both sin and death. That is his gift for each believer through faith, that all who call Jesus ‘Lord’ would be known as ‘Children of God.’ Jesus said that he would go ahead and prepare a place for us in the hereafter. And as we leave this earth to join him, we’ll acquire new heavenly bodies that don’t get old or wear out! Heaven will be magnificent and glorious beyond words!
Mankind cannot foster this hope, and neither can the devil. This hope is the work of God, and all creation is looking forward to it!
