Job 11:18 GNT: “You will live secure and full of hope; God will protect you and give you rest.”
Jesus gave us a couple of analogies or comparisons that help us understand our relationship with God and realize just how much He loves us.
First, all who trust in Jesus become ‘children of God,’ adopted into the Holy Family. And next Jesus teaches us to pray to “Our Father who art in heaven…” It’s clear that Jesus wants us to use this family model to define our relationship with God.
Picture this in your mind’s eye: The little children of God want to crawl up on daddy’s lap. He hold them tightly and they feel safe. He might even rock them to sleep, they feel so secure.
We refer to our everyday lives as a ‘rat-race!’ Let me encourage you to get out of the rat-race, and crawl up onto God’s lap. Take a moment to enjoy the peace that passes all understanding!
Blessings and safety today! And peace!
