Resurrected!

September 21, 2020 Monday Message: 

John 6:40 NLT, Jesus speaking: “It is my Father’s will that all who see his Son and believe in him should have eternal life. I will raise them up at the last day.”

Can Jesus really do what he says he can do? Well, He hasn’t disappointed us so far! The blind see again; the lame pick up their mat and walk home; lepers are cleansed. When people are suffering from apparent mental issues, Jesus commands the demons to come out of the person, and they obey! Demons know who Jesus is, the Son of the living God sent from heaven! 

To assure that we’d “get it,” Jesus waited four days before raising Lazarus from the dead. He’d previously raised the daughter of Jarius, the Synagogue leader, and the servant of a Roman Centurion. And following the crucifixion, he himself was resurrected in three days. This power over life and death is uniquely the Lord’s.

Jesus’ followers began to weigh the evidence and consider everything they’d seen, all of which pointed to Jesus being God’s only Son, just as he said! And being like God, every word he utters is the truth! Jesus promised that his followers will be raised up at the last day, because it’s the Father’s will! Are you ready?
