Almighty God!

For Friday, July 29, 2022:

Psalm 84:11 NLT: “The Lord God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The Lord will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right.”

From God comes life itself, and while we are alive, God is our protector. He sent his Son to offer us eternal life. We believers are, after all, children of God, and our Father is very, very good to us!

Those on God’s side will know an abundance of goodness. The Bible I knew as a child describes God’s love for mankind as, “everlasting lovingkindness.” There is no end to God’s goodness.

"O Lord..., what joy for those who trust in you.”

Rescue!

For Sunday, May 22, 2022:

Psalm 18:16 NLT: “He reached down from heaven and rescued me; he drew me out of deep waters.

This Psalm is the basis of the great hymn, ‘Love Lifted Me.’

We’ve all had times when we felt that our lives weren’t going in the right direction. That’s the best time to turn to the Lord. He’s in the rescue business!

David’s life was both up and down at various times. But when things seemed the worst, that was the best time to turn to the Lord. No matter what life handed him, David always found hope in the Lord!

"The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety.” (Ps. 18:2)

Protector God!

For Saturday, December 4, 2021

Nahum 1:7 CEV: “The Lord is good. He protects those who trust him in times of trouble.

God is good – all the time! So when trouble rears it’s ugly head in your life, is God your first call or your last resort?

If you’re “all in” with God – if you’re 24/7 with God, you won’t have to turn to him, because God and you are permanently in touch with each other. You’re on the same page, pulling in the same direction. You’re playing on the same team. A lot of trouble may just bounce off you. Trouble knows that disagreeing with God won’t end well!

We believe the Bible to be true, and here God offers assurance of protection to those who trust in him. God promises hope!
