Friend of God!

For Saturday, September 3, 2022:

Romans 5:11 NLT: “Now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God.”

Blatant sinners are not friends with God. But thankfully, believers – those whose sins are forgiven – can be friends with God. God’s desire is that none would perish and that everyone could join him in his kingdom.

God gave mankind free choice, so unfortunately some people will choose incorrectly and never see heaven. But those who have chosen Jesus have made the correct choice. We will get to see heaven from the inside!

At church we sing, “I am a friend of God; He calls me friend!” Today is the best day to become a friend of God!

Working Together!

 For Friday, September 2, 2022:

Philippians 1:27 NLT, Paul writing: “Above all, you must live as citizens of heaven, conducting yourselves in a manner worthy of the Good News about Christ. Then, whether I come and see you again or only hear about you, I will know that you are standing together with one spirit and one purpose, fighting together for the faith, which is the Good News.

Believers already have a place in heaven. Jesus went ahead to confirm your reservation. When you pass from this reality to the next, Jesus will welcome you with open arms. He’s been expecting you!

Therefore we should no longer live like people of this world. We’ve been shown a better way with Jesus as our example. He wants all the believers working together, being of one mind, to carry the Good News to all nations!

Doing the Lord’s work should fill us with joy!

Shine!

For Thursday, September 1, 2022:

Philippians 2:15 NLT: “Live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people.”

Believers are to set an example for the rest of the world. We are the ones following God’s instructions, using the life of Jesus as the model for how we all should live.

Do everything as if Jesus was looking over your shoulder, because he is! Live as if you’re working for the Lord, because you are! Do your best. Be quick to forgive. Love the Lord and love your neighbor. Be thankful. Figure out what you can do that would be helpful, something that would add value to the situation.

Make your life an offering to the Lord!
