Share Hope!

For Tuesday, November 3, 2020

1 Peter 3:15 CEV: “Honor Christ and let him be the Lord of your life. Always be ready to give an answer when someone asks you about your hope.”

Jesus told us to share the Good News of salvation through Christ with the people of all nations. In other words, tell everybody! Shout out the Gospel, enthusiastically but with kindness.

Because of Jesus taking our sins to the place of the dead, thereby making it possible for us to see heaven from the inside, we have hope. Jesus told us to share the Good News so that everyone in the world could know the same hope that we enjoy.

May the God of hope fill you all with joy and peace!

Omnipotence

November 2, 2020 Monday Message

Exodus 3:11-12a NLT: “Moses protested to God, ‘Who am I to appear before Pharaoh? Who am I to lead the people of Israel out of Egypt?’ God answered, ‘I will be with you.’”

God is Almighty and all-powerful. Moses feels he isn’t up to the task of approaching Pharaoh and leading the Hebrews out of Egypt. But God IS! God-in-the-burning-bush doesn’t try to convince Moses of what Moses can do; but He’s very detailed in explaining to Moses what GOD can do!

Can we just accept the fact that Moses is inadequate? That in 1,000 years he could never defeat Pharaoh on his own? The capability of Moses was never the issue in this scenario. It’s about Moses learning and accepting the extreme capabilities of the Creator.

God sometimes assigns us challenges in this life that seem unachievable, and we need to remember that we aren’t alone. God walks alongside us. OUR strength is not the issue; but the omnipotence of GOD IS! Make sure you’re walking together! He’s a great ministry partner!

Blessings to all as we begin this week!

My Help...

For Sunday, November 1, 2020

Psalm 121:2 NIV: “My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.”

There are a lot of problems in our society nowadays. Good people want to fix things, but nothing seems to work. Legislators write complex laws that criminals just ignore. Police go after evil one person at a time; they barely make a dent in the problem.

Friends, you just can’t legislate a value system. We can try to change a law or its enforcement, but that’s only good if the populous supports the policy with their personal, deep-rooted moral beliefs. Which is why the church - Jesus – is the hope of the world. If everyone in the world lived like Jesus taught us to live, crime would disappear and ALL people, regardless of country-of-origin, would live in harmony.

Our help, our hope and our optimistic future come from the Lord!

Blessings to all on this Sabbath!
