Jesus' Teachings!

September 16, 2024 Monday Message:

James 2:1 NLT: “My dear brothers and sisters, how can you claim to have faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ if you favor some people over others?”

James writes in order to encourage his readers to live consistently with what they have learned from Jesus. Surprisingly, many who know Jesus’ teaching – guidelines for living our lives – don’t put his instructions into action. When Jesus said, “Love your neighbors,” he meant ALL of them!

Jesus came to the earth through the Jews, but he came FOR people of all races, all countries and all colors. Believers who know the Good News have been designated “teachers” – evangelists challenged to make disciples of ALL nations. Jesus said so!

As a nation, the US has a cloudy past in this area. Over 150 years ago, a civil war was fought and won on the principle that all men (people) are created equal. The law says that everyone in the US should have the same opportunities. Everyone has the same right to be included. Exclusion based on someone’s race or color is now illegal.

In 150 years, we have learned that we can change laws, but it’s a lot more challenging to change hearts. If Jesus was still among us, he’d say that there’s still a lot of work to do!

Faith in Jesus!

For Saturday, July 29, 2023:

Romans 3:22 NLT: “We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are.”

Everyone wants to know if there’s life after this life. Yes! I’m asked if there is really a heaven and a hell. Yes! A person’s biggest goal in this life should be insuring our destination in the next life. We want to be made right with God, to have assurance of Salvation, to hold a reservation in God’s eternal destination.

This big order is surprisingly easy. We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ – end of story! Those who believe Jesus to be God’s Son and believe that he can do what he promised will be justified into God’s Kingdom. This is true for Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male or female. Paul writes that we are all one in Jesus Christ, and that’s Good News!

Today is the accepted day to claim Jesus as your Savior!

Before the World!

February 08, 2021 Monday Message:

John 17:24 NLT, Jesus speaking: “Father, I want these whom you have given me to be with me where I am. Then they can see all the glory you gave me because you loved me even before the world began!

Did you ever stop to ask, “What was the starting date of the world? What was here before our planet was created? Did the space even exist into which to put a planet – or did space have to be created too?” However long ago that was, even before there was a world, God was showering love and glory on his Son Jesus!

Jesus' ministry is inclusive – He wants all the believers to share in the same love and glory the Father showed him, and that gives us hope! He wants us to be with him, so we can easily witness the goodness of the Father. As Jesus spoke of these things, he was preparing to ascend into heaven, to return to the Father. He said that he would go ahead to prepare a place for us in heaven, described as a big house with many rooms. Friends, we get to see heaven from the inside!

True believers are now children of God, adopted into the Holy Family, and we SHOULD live under the same roof with the rest of God's children! See you there!

Blessings and safety to all this week!

Psalms 146 - Inclusive

June 18, 2018 Monday Message:

“The Lord watches over the foreigner and sustains the fatherless and the widow, but he frustrates the ways of the wicked. Psalms 146:9 NIV

While still a toddler, our Lord and savior was forced to seek political asylum in a foreign land. As you may recall, Herod was killing all the young Jewish males, so Joseph, Mary and baby Jesus packed up, headed for Egypt, and were political refugees for a time.

Fortunately Egypt welcomed them, and eventually things settled down in Israel, so the family was able to return to their homeland.

Understand that lines drawn on a map defining individual countries were drawn by men, and NOT by God. God made only one earth, and our assignment, straight from the mouth of Jesus, is to make disciples of ALL nations. To do that, we need to figure out how to get along with everybody. Now let’s get to work!
