God's Gift!

For Wednesday, November 26, 2025:

Romans 5:2 NLT: “Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.

"Because of our faith…” This is why Heaven’s gifts keep raining into our lives. I wish we could see God. That way, we could watch him smile as we do things that please him. Surely God smiles when we worship him, and when we honor his Son. God wants to include us in his forever kingdom, where his glory shines!

In the past, we might not have been worthy to live alongside the Father and his Son. But the Son, Jesus, took away our sinful nature as part of God’s vast eternal plan. So here we are, looking forward to our eternal lives because of what God had his Son put in motion. This is undeserved favor at its max! Mankind is the beneficiary of God’s grace!

God, Jesus and believers all living in harmony, loving one another, forever! It doesn’t get any better than that!

Worthy!

For Sunday, January 28, 2024:

Mark 8:29 NLT: “Then Jesus asked them, ‘But who do you say I am?’

Peter replied, ‘You are the Messiah.’”

The disciples traveled with Jesus and ate meals with him. They had witnessed miracle after miracle. They were armed with eyewitness evidence, and Jesus asks if they had learned from what they saw: “Who do you say I am?”

Peter was the spokesman for the group. The correct answer was obvious: “You are the Messiah,” the Christ, HaMoshiach, which all mean “anointed one.” In any language, we acknowledge that Jesus was heaven-sent.

As we worship today, Jesus’ question is now before each of us: “Who do you say I am?” We no longer need Peter to answer on our behalf. All of us can shout out, “You are the Messiah, Son of the living God!”

That’s why we worship. That’s why we praise him – because he is worthy!

Brothers and Sisters!

For Wednesday, September 20, 2023:

Romans 8:29-30 NLT: “For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And having chosen them, he called them to come to him. And having called them, he gave them right standing with himself. And having given them right standing, he gave them his glory.”

God’s people are the believers, those 100% dedicated to God, Jesus and his plan for our salvation. Jesus is the firstborn, but as believers we are adopted into the Holy Family. Apparently God’s plan is to re-make each of the believers until they fully resemble Jesus. God taps believers on the shoulder and calls them to join his Son and all the other believers. God arranged for the price of our sins to be paid in full. Jesus took care of that. So believers are now justified in God’s sight, worthy of being his son or daughter! God’s glory now surrounds believers, eternal residents of the Kingdom! Welcome to the family!

God provided for everything!

Worthy!

For Tuesday, November 9, 2021

Acts 13:47 NLT: “The Lord gave us this command when he said, ‘I have made you a light to the Gentiles, to bring salvation to the farthest corners of the earth.’

Paul, having survived his encounter with the risen Jesus on the road to Damascus, has an uncompromising view of belief in our Redeemer. In his mind, each of us can be our own judge. And if you choose to not believe, you are judging yourself unworthy of eternal life! It’s your choice – you be the judge!

Paul didn’t waste a lot of time with those who refused to believe. He simply moved on, taking his Good News message of salvation to the next group who would listen, those searching for the hope offered by Jesus the Messiah. After sharing in the synagogue, Paul courageously evangelized among the Greeks, the Gentiles, doing his part to offer salvation to anyone who would choose Jesus as their Savior.

Don’t judge yourself unworthy of redemption!
