Testify Truth!

For Friday, June 26, 2026:

John 15:27 NLT, Jesus speaking: “You must also testify about me because you have been with me from the beginning of my ministry.”

Jesus was telling all the gathered disciples to continue the Good News ministry after he returned to the Father. Some had been with him from the beginning and were eyewitnesses to every miracle and every healing. Others joined the entourage later, but they did so because of what Jesus did for them or from what they had seen. They have sufficient experiences about which to testify!

Consider Mary Magdalene. Jesus cast out seven demons from her, turning her life around. She in turn traveled with Jesus’ followers and helped support them financially. She witnessed the crucifixion, the resurrection and the ascension. Her testimony would be completely valid.

Each of us has a “before Jesus” story and an “after Jesus” story. Our testimony should be about the positive changes as the result of that transition. Knowing that we are forgiven and have a place in eternity is no small thing! Having Assurance of Salvation makes for a great testimony!

What is your “changed life” story? It’s time to rehearse. Many need to hear what you have to say!

Miracle Source!

For Thursday, April 16, 2026:

John 12:17-18 NLT: “Many in the crowd had seen Jesus call Lazarus from the tomb, raising him from the dead, and they were testifying about it. That was the reason so many went out to meet him—because they had heard about this miraculous sign.”

Jesus could perform miracles, and miracles impress people. Many were in Jerusalem for Passover, hence the large crowds. They had traveled to experience religious things, and all the buzz was about Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead. Everyone was impressed, but it was kind of like they all had attended a magic show. They worshiped the miracle itself, but not where it came from, who did it, why they did it and who that person is.

Jesus intentionally took his time traveling to Martha and Mary’s house, arriving after Lazarus had died. “O Lord, if only you had been here,” cried the women. They’re thinking in earthly terms. Knowing what we now know about Jesus, he could have healed Lazarus from far away. But to Jesus, this needed to be an event. This was about showcasing the glory of the Lord. He wanted Lazarus clearly dead before calling him out of the tomb – a BIG miracle! Perhaps then people would recognize that this was heaven-sent, and that Jesus was God’s only Son!

Friends, don’t just appreciate the miracle, the event itself. Worship the supernatural entity that brought the miracle to fruition. Worship God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit – as they bestow miracle after miracle on believers!

Good vs Evil!

For Wednesday January 10, 2024:

Mark 5:2 NLT: “When Jesus climbed out of the boat, a man possessed by an evil, unclean spirit came out from the tombs to meet him.”

Crossing the lake proved to be a defining point Jesus’ evangelistic career. A crowd had been following, they liked what they saw, but making a decision to call Jesus “Lord and Savior” hadn’t happened – yet!

Jesus did nothing unusual to put the miracles in motion. He simply lived out his inherent character, loving everyone he met and doing the next right thing. A man came out of the cemetery, not to welcome Jesus as much as to confront him. This extremely strong, demon-possessed man was well known for violent, insane outbursts. A legion of demons had left his life a shambles. He screamed as those demons negotiated with Jesus. “Come out of the man, you evil spirit.” The demons relocated into a nearby herd of pigs, who then ran off a cliff and drowned in the lake.

The man had been restored before many witnesses who related the incident to others. But did they fully appreciate what they had just seen? No – regrettably, they feared someone with that much power, and begged Jesus to go away and leave them alone!

As Jesus was preparing to leave, the previously possessed man begged to accompany him, but Jesus told him to stay and witness to all the locals. Testify to everyone the miracle he had received! The man was disappointed, but he obeyed and proclaimed the miracles to ten towns in the region. His personal testimony filled with gratitude convinced many to believe that Jesus was the Son of God!

We are all called to be witnesses for Jesus. If we have faith like the man from whom the demons were driven, we can all give a powerful testimony to repent, return and follow Jesus! That’s what Jesus said to do! Tell everyone!

No more pigs need to lose their lives!
