Today!

For Thursday, December 5, 2024:

2 Thessalonians 1:10 NLT: “When he (Jesus) comes on that day, he will receive glory from his holy people—praise from all who believe. And this includes you, for you believed what we told you about him.”

"Include” is a word we love to hear. Example: “Three of us are going, there’s room in the car for a fourth, and we’d like to include you!” Everyone loves to be included!

Jesus is on-board with this. He and the Father want to include everyone in the eternal Kingdom. Unfortunately, some will say no to God’s invitation, choosing to go their own way. Friends, that won’t work out. At the end of this age, there will be only two groups: those who are with Jesus, and those who are not. That’s when Jesus prepares a special place for believers. But unbelievers go to a fiery judgment.

We never know when that last day is coming. We need to be always ready when Jesus calls us home. Today is the best day to make or reaffirm your decision for Jesus!

Last Days!

For Sunday, August 4, 2024:

2 Peter 3:3-4a NLT: “In the last days scoffers will come, mocking the truth and following their own desires. They will say, “What happened to the promise that Jesus is coming again?

In the last days, expect to see scoffers and mockers. They not only don’t believe, but choose to make fun of those of us who do. It will become more and more difficult to practice Christianity as we draw closer to the last days, and each day the end becomes one day closer!

Unfortunately, some whose theology is off base are within the church. False philosophy makes their preaching popular, although hugely inaccurate. Beware! Christianity isn’t difficult. Therefore being grounded in the basics will serve us well.

When asked the most important commandment, Jesus answered, “Love the Lord and love your neighbor.” Be nice. Kindness is never wrong. Do the next right thing because that shows love, kindness and compassion, and it’s what God wants you to do!

If you’re mocked for your kindness, that’s good! It means that you’re on the "Jesus team!” They will know we are Christians by our love!

By the way, Jesus already knows the right time for his second coming! God’s timing is never wrong! Blessings on this Sabbath day!

Second Coming!

November 20, 2023 Monday Message:

John 4:28-29 NLT: “The woman (at the well) left her water jar beside the well and ran back to the village, telling everyone, ‘Come and see a man who told me everything I ever did! Could he possibly be the Messiah?’”

We need to be more excited! We need to show more enthusiasm! This woman left her water jar, RAN full tilt back to the village, told EVERYONE what had happened, and posed the question, “Could he possibly be the Messiah?” She caught their curiosity!

Remember that these people are Samaritans, not Jews, but they knew the scriptures promising the arrival of a Messiah. They had been watching and waiting, anticipating Jesus coming to earth. They were expecting a Savior, a Redeemer! Could this man be the one?

I heard a pastor say that he believes we are in the last days. Jesus gave the disciples many signs that would point to the end of the world as we know it. We are seeing many of those signs right now. I heard another pastor say that he believes we are in the end times of the end times! The Kingdom of God is at hand!

If the return of Jesus doesn’t excite you, I don’t know what will. We should not walk but instead RUN to our friends, our relatives, our co-workers and the corners of the earth to share the Good News with everyone! Turn on the excitement! Turn up the enthusiasm! This event will be the most important thing that ever happens in your life! With each passing day, we’re one day closer to Jesus’ second coming!

More tomorrow! Blessings!

Children of God!

For Thursday, June 29, 2023:

1 John 5:19 NLT: “We know that we are children of God and that the world around us is under the control of the evil one.”

Well, that explains a lot! No wonder Christians are persecuted by the world! It should come as no surprise that life gets difficult at times when Satan is running free amongst us.

Jesus said that those who aren’t for him are against him. And this world contains two distinctly different groups: #1 those who are with Jesus, children of God; and #2 those under control of the evil one.

The Good News is that in the last days God will call his children home!
